Here is a list of principles that apply in
general to the Chicago-sponsored programs:
a) Chicago's programs were created for and
are open to regularly registered University of Chicago students.

b) They are open to and appropriate for students
in all majors who are in good academic standing.
c) Most participants in these programs are
third-year students. A fair number are in their second year. First-
and fourth-year students also participate in these programs, though
in much smaller numbers.
d) Students remain registered at Chicago
while taking part in Chicago's programs.
e) They pay regular College tuition plus
a modest study abroad administrative fee and, for some programs, a
program fee.
f) They retain their normal eligibility for
financial aid.
g) They receive full credit for their work
abroad. This credit will usually appear as course titles with units
and grades on the students' transcripts.
