Elana Kranz is the Director of Study Abroad. In this capacity, she oversees the development and administration of a diverse and growing portfolio of study abroad programs. She coordinates the programs in Berlin and Bologna. Elana has a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago and joined the Study Abroad office in 2010. Before coming to UChicago, Elana worked in international education and administration at the University of California-Berkeley, The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, and American Express.
Elana has had the opportunity to live and spend extended periods of time in Italy in Bologna, Cagliari, Rome, and Florence. She loves to travel the world and she is grateful every day to support the international exploration of the amazing undergraduate students at the University of Chicago.
