Anna Kragness is Operations Manager for the University of Chicago Study Abroad Office. She joined the office in 2026 with professional experience in International Education, having worked at Arizona State University and CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange). She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Arts in Comparative and International Development Education from the University of Minnesota. During her undergraduate career at the University of Minnesota, she spent two semesters abroad in Norway and the Netherlands, which led her to pursue a career in International Education. Anna comes to the University of Chicago with experience in student advising, program development, program operations, and managing study abroad program budgets. As the Operations Manager, she is generally responsible for issuing payments to a variety of partners to the Study Abroad Office. Outside of work, Anna enjoys runs on the Lakefront Trail, painting, and striving to meet her yearly goal of books to read.
