Kevin Gatter is a Program Manager in the Office of Study Abroad, where he manages programs in Oaxaca, Paris, and Vienna.
Kevin has a Ph.D. in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), as well as an MA and BA in International Relations from American University in Washington, D.C. He is passionate about exploring other cultures and societies, having studied abroad in Chile and Cuba as an undergraduate in addition to conducting doctoral research in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Catalonia, Montenegro, Northern Ireland, Puerto Rico, Quebec, Scotland, and Wales. Prior to joining Study Abroad in 2025, Kevin served as a Lecturer of Political Science at Cal State Polytechnic University Humboldt and UCLA. He also has worked in international development in Latin America.
Kevin is passionate about mentoring and empowering students to achieve their academic, professional, and personal objectives. As a result of his multicultural roots, he enjoys working with students from diverse backgrounds. He is especially interested in career development, international education, and data analysis.
