The John W. Boyer Center in Paris is the centerpiece of international activity for UChicago undergraduates. Our faculty-led programs span disciplines, from the humanities to the social sciences to, most recently, the natural and physical sciences. Excursions lead students from their classrooms to sites of importance in France, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. All programs take advantage of the unique surroundings while maintaining the high academic standards of the College.
Center in Paris

The defining feature of Studio Gang’s design for the building is a brise soleil façade composed of cylindrical bâtons enrobed in Lutetian limestone, a stone that underlies much of the Paris region and recalls the architecture of the University’s Hyde Park campus in Chicago. (Ksenia Luron)
