Damaris Crocker De Ruiter is a Program Manager in the Office of Study Abroad, specifically managing programs in Paris and Rome. Damaris joined the Office of Study Abroad in 2022 and holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs and a Bachelor’s degree in Intercultural Studies. Damaris visited El Salvador in high school on her first international trip, and she later studied abroad in Guatemala as a part of her undergraduate program. During her graduate program, Damaris had the opportunity to work alongside two faculty members and another graduate student to coordinate and lead a study abroad program in Ghana. Damaris is passionate about working with college students, especially within the context of study abroad experiences. In her free time, Damaris enjoys reading, baking and cooking, and exploring all Chicago has to offer!
